Dental Crowns
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over your tooth. It’s a permanent restoration and when it’s fixed in place, a crown should look, feel and function just like any other tooth. Crowns are usually needed if you have a badly broken-down tooth that cannot be fixed with a filling. There are different types of crowns you can chose from, most people elect to have an Emax crown, they are made with lithium disilicate, which is durable material and resembles natural tooth colour. They're aesthetically appealing. Other crown types are metal type crowns, gold shell crowns.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns can be made from a variety of materials, including porcelain, ceramic, metal, or a combination of these, depending on the location of the tooth and the patient’s preferences. For example, porcelain crowns are often used for front teeth due to their natural appearance, while metal crowns may be used for back teeth because of their durability. The crown is custom-made to fit over the tooth and is permanently cemented in place, restoring its function and protecting it from further damage.
